Clean, breakfast is excellent and served in a great room, extra nice = free cava, very good espresso, good buffet.
no mini-bar, bar closes at 21h, beware of noise from streetmarket on saturday morning in front of hotel from 7 am (we had the pleasure of waking up from loud noises from a broken fan or generator from a vendor, not so much from people visiting the market)...

A lovely small family run hotel, rooms a good size and very clean, towels changed every day.The decor downstairs was lovely, very welcoming. The breakfast was very good, freshly prepared and plenty of choice, we were offered a glass of Cava with our breakfast on Easter Day, a very nice touch. Excellent value parking behind the Hotel in a public car park, 2euro 50 per day, and no charge for weekends. A really large and good market is held on a Saturday, well worth a look around.
I asked for a Liptons Breakfast Tea bag one morning and was informed they were only available in the guest rooms, not in the dining room, there were plenty of other teas too choose from but that was my preference. I brought one with me the following day. My sister and brother-in- law who were with us were asked to leave the small back garden as they were setting up for a private function, though they were only going to be in 10 mins, no sign of any other people around and as they should have pointed out they were paying guests, a minor but annoying moment.

We enjoyed the hotel it was very clean and lovely
I was upset when my wife and I were told we could not sit in the garden as there was something going on.We had paid to stay here and we were paying guest but we wernt welcome to sit in the garden and that was very bad if you pay for a hotel you should not be asked to go

The central location of the hotel is a key selling point
Personnally, the room was poor when realizing had to be 100 euro per night incl. breakfast.

It was easier to get to Aalst from Brussels Expo than to get to a hotel in Brussels. Minimal traffic and a nice quiet town.
The iron didn't come with an ironing board.
